Policy Guidelines on the Implementation of Grades 1 to 10 of the K to 12 Basic Education
Curriculum (BEC) Effective School Year 2012-2013

Heads, Public and Private Elementary and Secondary Schools
1. Effective School Year (SY) 2012-2013, the K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum (BEC)
shall be implemented starting with the roll-out of Grades 1 and 7 in all public elementary
and secondary schools. Private schools are enjoined to do the same. They may further
enhance the curriculum to suit their school vision/mission.
2. The general guidelines for the implementation of Grades 1 to 10 Curriculum which cover
the following areas are stipulated in Enclosure No. 1:
a. Design of the Curriculum;
b. Desired Outcomes of Grades 1 to 10 Program;
c. Nomenclature /Learning Area and its Description;
d. Medium of Instruction;
e. Time Allotment;
f. Sample Class Program;
g. Learning Resources;
h. Assessment and Rating of Learning Outcomes; and
i. Culminating Activities/Performances.
3. The Sample Report Card for Grades 1 to 6 and Grades 7 to 10 are in Enclosure No. 2.
4. Schools are challenged to implement the guidelines in creative and innovative ways, for
the curriculum can be localized without compromising the philosophy of total learner
development.
5. At the end of every quarter, the end users of the Curriculum Guide are encouraged to
send their feedback to the Division Office which will submit these reports to the Central
Office (Attention: Dr. Yolanda S. Quijano, Undersecretary for Programs and Projects)
through the Regional Office (RO).
6. Immediate dissemination of and strict compliance with this Order is directed.

School Rules And Regulations
1. Respect the Flag and attend the Flag Ceremony
2. Students are duly bound to keep the campus clean and
free of litters. Put all trash in the trash bins/sacks
provided for its purpose.
3. Maintain silence when passing along classroom corridors.
4. Do not erase or alter any written documents or official
documents or announcements.
5. Vandalism in any form is strictly prohibited.
6. Protect and take care of the fruit trees and other plants
in the campus.
7. Do not ill publish or circulate false reports about any
student or school personnel.
8. Give due respect to teachers, staff, visitors and guests.
9. Keep the canteen clean and sanitary at all times.
10. The security guards are extension of the school
authority in the implementation of the school rules and
regulations. Students are therefore duly bound to give
due respect to the guards.
11. Avoid doing the following prohibited acts:
a. Drinking or bringing liquor in the campus.
b. Smoking inside the school campus.
c. Bringing, using, selling drugs and other prohibited
substances.
d. Bringing deadly weapons.
e. Gambling in any form.
f. Bring, reading, selling or circulating pornographic
materials.
g. Organizing fraternities/ gangs and recruiting members.
CLASSROOM POLICY
1. Come on time.
2. Wear complete uniform.
3. Avoid being absent without valid
reason/s.
4. Maintain silence inside the
classroom.
5. Maintain the cleanliness and
orderliness of the room and it
surrounding.
6. Listen to the teacher/s during
discussion.
7. Participate in any discussions or
group activities.
8. Avoid loitering during class hours.
9. Respect the teachers and your
classmates.
10.Turn off the cellphones during class
hours.
