What is a Learning Activity Sheet (LAS)?

 A Learning Activity Sheet is a self-directed instructional

material aimed to guide the learner in accomplishing
activities at their own pace and time using the
contextualized resources in the community.
 It is developed to facilitate the teaching-learning
activities aligned with the Most Essential Learning
Competency (MELC) with minimal or no face-to-face
encounter between the teacher and learner.
Some considerations in the preparation
of LAS:
1. There should be one major concept per activity sheet
2. Should fit maximum of 4 pages (2 sheets)
3. Should be self-contained
4. Concepts, questions and tasks should address the learning
target/objective
5. Tasks should progress from easy to medium to difficult to
engage even the intellectually-challenged.
6. Indicate references used in developing the LAS
You will need:

 Copy of the Most Essential Learning Competencies (MELC)

 Reference Materials
 Learner’s Materials (LM)
 Curriculum Guides (CGs)
 DepEd reference materials
 Online sources
