Ref: Check-Shots Survey Pit Recommendations

Please find below the recommendations for the check shot pit

1. When the CHECKSHOT objective is just the correlation with the surface seismic
section, you must build the pit in the same direction or parallel to the closest well
seismic line.
2. The minimum source offset recommended is 150 feet from well head.
3. If the well is deviated is better to put the pit in the same well azimuth direction.
4. For the pit design see the attached sketch.
5. It is recommended to make 4 shots per level for the VSP and 3 for CHECKSHOTS
(providing good quality).
6. If possible, built the pit in concrete.
7. Pit dimensions according to diagram attached.
