Summary, Conclusion and Recommendations

This chapter holds the summary of the findings, conclusions, recommendations

and suggestions to our research paper.

Summary

The purpose of this study is to gain information on how to make a good and

understandable essay of Grade 7 SPA students of Ligao National High School SY 2018-

2019. We surveyed the 52 students in that section using a questionnaire with a qualitative

approach through a survey research method.

In the study the research formulated questions and pointed out answers to the

questions:

1. Struggles and techniques of Grade 7 SPA students in doing an essay.

2. Improvement can be made if Grade 7 SPA students will make an essay every

quarter.

3. Ways in improving their skills in doing an essay.

Conclusion

From the analysis, it was found that,

1. Essay is a short piece of writing on a particular subject.

2. The common weakness of Grade 7 SPA students in doing an essay is they can’t

think of any topic.

3. 55% of Grade 7 SPA students are good in doing an essay and the remaining 45%

are struggling in doing an essay.

4. The common strategy in doing an essay of Grade 7 SPA students is they are using

a captivating opening sentence.

Suggestions for Future Research

1. It is important that the findings of this research are not generalized to other schools.

The research was conducted in Ligao National High School.

Recommendations

2. The Grade 7 SPA students should do an essay in every quarter so that they can

enhance more their writing skill.
