ABOUT DE LA SALLE CHORALE

With the emergence of art – be it in the form of painting, poetry, film, or music – as a primary
and effective way of communicating to a variety of audiences the advocacies cultivated by both
our innate and individual passions, as well as those nurtured by the social involvement that
irrevocably binds the La Sallian institution to the communities that surround it, the DE LA
SALLE CHORALE is granted the most opportune time, now, more than ever, to proclaim the
missions entrusted to the present intergenerational kinship of the University of St. La Salle.

At the heart of all performances and as a driving force of the recognition and acclaim of local
artistry coupled with the pronouncement of the unification of La Sallian pride and mission
throughout the scope of the city, the De La Salle Chorale kindles a burning need to impart to
diverse audiences the invocation of the word animo: with voices clear and beautiful, the sound of
our message will leave a mark on the hearts of those who intend to listen. More than just a merry
band of performers whose fates have been intertwined with the common and irrefutable love for
the stage, the De La Salle Chorale sings as a unified and artistic personification of the astute,
socially active, and impassioned La Sallian.

THE 9TH BALI INTERNATIONAL CHOIR FESTIVAL 2020

We proudly present to you the 9th BALI INTERNATIONAL CHOIR FESTIVAL.

This choir festival progressively exhibits qualities and enchantment to all choirs around the
world. A festival that started with a will to provide a world-stage level in Indonesia now turns
into the ultimate choice of the festival for choirs abroad. Impressively well-organized by the
Bandung Choral Society team in a beautiful place and with choices of well-known juries for the
expertise and reputation around the globe, this Choir Festival in Bali emerges as a prestigious
and respected event.

Most choirs consider the Choir Festival identically as a competition to be the best. Nowadays,
the viewpoint of competition is positively shifted as a stage where they can yield the outcome of
hard practice with joy and pride. The event is able to measure each team’s progress, accepting
feedback from the choir expertise to improve artistic quality. Moreover, in the BALI
INTERNATIONAL CHOIR FESTIVAL, participants not only perform and compete; they also
engage in more activities to gain friendship and build good relationships among nations. Many
activities in this Festival bring inspiration and motivation to love choir singing deeply and more
passionately.

Furthermore, organizing the BALI INTERNATIONAL CHOIR FESTIVAL on Kuta's beautiful

shores gives a strong impression of a combination of singing pleasure, festive activities on the
beach, intimacy with friends, and pride as a team that goes through many deep meaningful
stories.

× “A MILLION DREAMS”
Evident even in the title we have toiled to conjure, A Million Dreams exemplifies all there is to
understand about what it means to be a La Sallian in this day and age. It encompasses the duties
set upon the shoulders of our community, as well as the artistry that propels those visions and
advocacies unceasingly forward into a dauntingly massive, albeit brave, new world. This event
stands as a celebration not only of the La Sallian community in general, but as an embracement
of the culture and history that surges through every hallway and vestibule of the University of St.
La Salle, a humble yet widely acclaimed edifice nurtured in the city of Bacolod.
