Greetings!

I am Marc Vincent Apatan, a graduate student taking up Master in Business Administration in the
University of the Philippines Cebu. My teammates and I are currently developing a marketing strategy for
solid waste management in compliance with the midterm requirement of our Marketing Management
course.

Through my involvement with the Rotary Club in Metro Cebu, I have come across JPIC-IDC’s Plastic Barter
Store and Eco-Hollowblock Manufacturing projects in San Pio Village in Barangay Dumlog, Talisay City. We
have taken inspiration from these projects in developing our marketing strategy that targets the residents
of Salinas Drive Extension. The objective is to encourage the residents to properly and consistently
segregate their trash in support of various social and environmental causes such as the aforementioned
projects. In line with this, we would like to ask your permission to conduct interviews with the people
associated with these projects and to visit the eco-hollowblock manufacturing site.
