Dear Judges, 

My name is Ingrid Lopez Cruz. This is my third year going to Garinger. My topic is about College 
Tuition Should be Free. The issue about my topic, college tuition costs are out of control because 
many students are dropping out and can’t focus on studying. Despite these problems, colleges 
continue to raise tuition. Public college should be free for eligible students because it would 
stimulate the economy by giving young Americans more disposable income, reduce the federal 
poverty rate by permitting low-income students to attend school, and spur American growth and 
innovation by creating a better-educated workforce. What I mean by eligible students, by having 
a GPA of 3.5 or above and having good grades. It will help so much for our income by having a 
better education. What I have learned these experiences myself and the challenges for my 
project, has really impacted me a lot to find the information that I need and looking for. I would 
never forget these challenges of what I’ve learned and experiences of my hard work. What this 
project helped me to prepare for my life after high school is that it will be a challenge for me to 
prepare and hopefully one day I can stand up for what is right about college tuition should be 
free. I will still continue my topic and engage it for my future for people around the world to see 
the increase of high tuitions are being out of control. We don't want the tuition to ruin our lives. 
We want education to studying and focus on our exams.
