There is an issue of the usage of public roads to cater private or individual’s need. President
Duterte issued Memorandum Circular No. 2019-121 which states that all local officials must
reclaim public roads and rid them of illegal structures and constructions.

2. After watching the SONA, do you think the Philippine economy is doing well? Why or why not?
I believe the Philippine economy is doing well because of the Tax Reform for Acceleration and
Inclusion (TRAIN) law boosted government revenue by 19% which was used for the
development of public roads and infrastructures.

3. What promises/ platform has the Duterte administration achieved insofar as his 3 years of
leadership? What has this administration not yet done or need to improve on.

After almost two decades of peace negotiation, the Bangsamoro Organic Law was finally passed
and ratified. It is goal of Bangsamoro Transition Authority to fast-track the establishment of
regional government in order to secure a comfortable life for Muslim brothers and sisters, and
all indigeneous communities in Bangsamoro regions. One of the things Duterte mentioned in his
SONA which needed to improve their level of service was from LTO, SSS, BIR, LRA, and PAG-
IBIG. Their services must be accessed electronically or must be client friendly.
