DAILY LESSON PLAN FOR EDUCATIONAL ASSESSMENT

I. At the end of the discussion, the Educational Assessment students should be able to:
a. Discuss the principles that guide the assessment of student learning,
b. Analyze each principle in the light of their applicability for classroom assessment, and;
c. Relate the guiding principles with students experience as subjects of previous
assessment and evaluation.

II. Materials:
a. Subject matter: The guiding principles for the Assessment of Student Learning
b. References: Assessment of Learning Book, pp.. 28-44
c. Materials: Lesson Plan, White Board, PowerPoint Presentation

III. Lesson Proper:


a. Preparation
Prayer
Greetings
Setting of Classroom Attendance
b. Motivation:
Start with a quotation: “Principles are lighthouses. They do not move, we cannot break
them, we can only break ourselves against them”
Ask some of your classmates on what will be their idea on the Quotation.
c. Discussion:
Our topic for this session will be all about the different types of principles in assessing
student learning.

But before going further, let us first be oriented with our objectives.

So, our focus for this day is to analyze and relate all the guiding principles in the
teaching field.

Based from your experiences what kind of principles in assessing teaching you usually
apply on your teaching?

These are the principles in assessing teaching; the principle of Clarity of learning,
Appropriateness of Assessment, Validity, Reliability, Fairness, Positive Consequences,
Practically and Efficiency, Ethics.

IV. Evaluation:
Oral-Recitation.
