COURSE SYLLABUS

This course focuses on the application of scientific knowledge and the solution of practical problems in a physical environment. It is designed to bridge the gap

Differentiate the risk factors underlying disasters.
Discuss the key concepts, principles, and elements of DRR.
Discuss different community-based practices for managing disaster risk to specific hazards.

LEARNING Apply appropriate measures/interventions before, during, and after disasters.
OUTCOMES Apply mitigation strategies to prevent loss of lives and properties.
