EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The project work is pursuing as a part of MBA (Masters of Business Administration)

Curriculum at ―Matrix School of Management Studies Dept. Of MBA, Pune‖ under
the ―Savitribai Phule University Pune‖. It is under taken as an internship at
SOFTHUB Technology, Pune. The project is done under expert supervision and
guidance of Dr. Anand Padale and Mr. Ambhuj Sharma (SOFTHUB Technologies).
The Project is about the ―A Study of Enterprise Resource Planning Software
System At SOFTHUB Technologies Pune.‖ As one of the subject of MBA course in
year 2019.

At SOFTHUB Technology, initially researcher was imparted process and service

knowledge. Researcher was given sufficient time to know about the services and what
company doing. Simultaneously researcher work on the lead management from this
researcher realize that in the corporate world there is very huge competition and after
the 2014 as Indian government support to the digitalization everybody is turns
towards the IT world. To managing the business and for the growth of own business
everybody try to become the smarter than their competitor. We help them into
growing their business rapidly by providing software applications or mobile
applications to them.

As per our companies values researcher observe that here every employ get equal
respect. In this company the employee of this company are the main assets of this
company and they helps in the growth of the organization.

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System implementation is both an art and

science that consists of planning, implementation, and ongoing maintenance. This
methodology is designed to automate the drudgery of implementation and provide
organized approaches to problem solving by listing, diagramming, and documenting
all steps. Structured methodologies help to standardize and systemize ERP
implementation and maintenance by approaching them as an engineering discipline
rather than as whims of individual software developers. It is essential to understand
structured methodologies in the implementation of ERP systems.

6
Basically we are creating the ERP software for the companies as per their
requirement. Whichever the modules they want in this software we are trying to
develop such software. We create the customized ERP software. We try to fulfill their
requirements by providing multifunctional ERP system which is web based software.
Similarly for our company also we created ERP software will helpful us for sales and
billing. For this we required the primary and secondary research method for the data
collection.

In the literature review we took the reference of the previously published literatures
from the internet. In this there are some are the case study and articles which they
publishes in our country or in other country. With their help we tried to create our
software. For this software whatever the requirement from system and with the help
of SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) this software system will work. In the
data interpretation five stage of SDL cycle we uses for the software. After the
completion the screen shots of that ERP software is added. In the short period of time
learnt lots of things which are really helpful to me. While doing research the
employees of the company are very helpful.

For the finding and suggestions are based on the data interpretation. The findings are
found from the data analysis. How the actually this ERP software is helpful for the
organization and that will helps in growing the business. And in the suggestion
whatever the researcher find out that require suggestion for the organization. After all
this final result is shown in the conclusion. In this research project, ERP software
system is successfully applied and the results of the use of this system are very
effective and helpful for organisation. This software system helps to do a paperless
work which will help upper level management to analysis details for making
decisions.

From this summer internship project researcher learnt the various things like as how
to improve business process. Understand the responsibilities of vendor’s consultants.
Analyze the importance of vendors in marketing channel. Understand the
methodologies of consultants, in dealing with various problems occurred in ERP
implementation.

CHAPTER – 1
INTRODUCTION

Enterprise Resource Planning is a business procedure the board programming

framework which fasts development of the association. Since beforehand the business
associations have been planning and utilizing the product framework which were
centered around business capacities, for example, material, deals, money and
bookkeeping, fabricating and so on. After some time coordinated data framework was
accompanied the assistance of this framework a typical database are utilized or
various databases being shared by various parts of the frameworks. These parts of the
framework are regularly called as "modules or Sub-framework".

Throughout the year the idea of coordinated frameworks advanced wherein the data
trade between useful modules was tended to at configuration arrange itself. These
incorporated data frameworks can well be considered as the precursors of the
advanced Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) framework that guarantee consistent
coordination between various practical modules. ERP framework is characterized as
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is the coordinated administration of fundamental
business forms, regularly continuously and interceded by programming and
innovation.

The point of making ERP framework is a typical database over the association that is
utilized by various capacities or offices inside the business associations. ERP contains
various capacities, including materials, fabricating, money, conveyance and
showcasing just as different business works, all under one umbrella utilizing a typical
database. ERP encourages them in making a vigorous spine of exchange handling
layer of the data frameworks in a venture. Different frameworks like choice
emotionally supportive network, human asset, supply the board framework and so
forth be additionally the on the highest point of the solid spine of exchange handling
layer made by ERP.

ERP programming is known to give various advantages to assembling associations. It

serves to the organizations in having consistently incorporated business forms that

8
guarantee decrease in inventories and eliminating process durations'. Making a
completely coordinated exchange handling framework that tends to every one of the
necessities is conceivable either by structuring and building up the product with in-
house assets. Regularly ERP bundles offer a total suite of uses required by a business
association.

Our ERP programming is as of now utilized in the association is all around refreshed
in completely coordinated programming which is having a development highlight like
it is electronic programming. For the purpose for this component as of late utilized
programming framework is redesigned, online and verified framework. This ERP
framework drive easily in every day work of the association which gets to information
easily to give better outcome. ERP is programming which would suit all the
administration and money related reports tweaked to the organization's needs
completely finished programming in all perspectives. It tends to be access through
internet browser and introduced in a focal server to access from all your far away
areas. So it need not be introduced in every one of the area independently. Here you
don't have to synchronize information from various areas consistently. Up-dates are
online in our ERP programming. It is ERP Operations programming which has
bookkeeping sections of information.

ERPs give a value-based spine to the association that permits the catch of
fundamental expense and income related developments of stock. In this manner, ERP
frameworks bear the cost of better access to the board data concerning business
movement, indicating real deals and cost of offers in a continuous manner.

THE BASIC STEPS OF STRUCTURED METHODOLOGY ARE:

1. Project Definition and Requirement Analysis - Defining the terms of

reference, determining user needs and system constraints, generating a
functional specification and a logical model for the best solutions.

2. External Design- Detailing the design for a selected solution, including

diagrams relating all programs, subroutines, and data flow.

3. Internal Design - Building, testing, installing, and tuning Software.

9
4. Pre-implementation - Evaluation and acceptance

5. Implementation - Implementing systems.

6. Post-implementation - Evaluation of controls and debugging.

This book covers ERP systems, their life cycles, and the modules of ERP software
system which will give information about the actual ERP system, the competitors of
ERP developer companies in Pune city and different brands which are already present
in the market. It discusses each phase in the ERP life cycle, including the roles of each
principal participant, key activities, and deliverables. When an organization purchases
an ERP system, the intent is that the purchased ERP system provides specific
functions and benefits. These functions and benefits need to be articulated to ensure
that the ERP system performs as desired. This process is called conducting a
feasibility analysis. As per these functions and benefits what the service provide by
the company to the customer.

1.1 ERP FUNCTIONAL MODULE –

The ERP Software system has number of functions which are grouped in to this
software. So these are called as the modules of ERP system. The main prospective of
the organizations is that implement such an application which is containing all the
modules of ERP software as per companies requirement. The modules of ERP
software system is as given below
