Mi Primera Inspiracion

Mi Primera Inspiracion translated to My First inspiration in English. The poem was

written by Rizal for his Mother. In this poem he shows his love towards his mother,
he was inspired by his mother of course since this whole poem is dedicated to her
and Rizal made this poem in his Mother’s birthday upon her release. And when Rizal
learned that his Mother was going blind Rizal decided to enroll and learn about
medicine at the University of Santo Tomas and then he transferred to Universidad
Central de Madrid where he obtained the degree after that he enrolled in The
University of Paris in order to learn more about the study of opthamology. The poem
was about the feeling Rizal had the great feeling of relief he had when his Mother
was released from Prison. Rizal put his feelings into imagination and while in his
imagination it turns into matter like he describes as if the release of her mother from
prison was like a happy and jolly little festival where there are grand like the birds
singing and the beginning of spring like its a happily ever after. The poem teaches us
that we should honor and value our parents very much also let our parents be the
role model or inspiration in your life.
