1 - STRATEGIES OF INTERVIEW:

Let’s study these 10 strategies to enhance your interview skill.

Interviewing is a learned skill, and there are no second chances to make a great first impression.

1. Practice good non verbal communication: Demonstrating confidence, standing straight,


making eyes contact, and connecting with a firm handshake

2. Dress for the job or company: company culture related with dress code

3. Listen: Good communication skill include listening and letting the person know you heard
what was said

4. Don’t talk too much: matching your skills with the position's requirements and relating only
that information (eligible time 20 – 30 Second)

5. Don’t be too familiar: formal situation or professional meeting

6. Use appropriate language: no slang or references to age, religion, politics or sexual


orientation

7. Don’t be cocky: balance between confidence, professionalism, and modesty

8. Take care to answer the question: behavioural questions, which are designed to explicit a
sample of your past behaviour

9. Ask questions if you need and offering: most candidates answer, "NO" wrong answer. asking
during the interview and asking for additional information

10. Don’t appear desperate: reflect 3 C's (Cool, Calm and Confident)

TIPS TO ANSWER:

Do at least 65 – 70% of the talking, state your case and be brief and organised in your answers.
Consider the STAR Method in framing your answers.

• Situation: Give an example of a situation you were involved in that resulted in a positive
outcome.

• Task: Describe the tasks involved in that situation

• Action: Talk about the various actions involved in the situation’s task.

• Results: What results directly followed because of your action
