OHS Policy
1. Discharge any ESD from yourself by frequently touching the
computer chassis or tip of the screwdriver before or when you’re
working inside the computer.
2. Make sure the computer is turned off and unplugged when
working inside the computer
3. Unplug the power chord from the wall socket before touching any
of the component
4. Whenever you uninstall any component place it on a grounded
anti-static pad or in the bag that comes with the component
5. Hold components by the edges and do not touch the integrated
circuits or ICs
6. To avoid damaging the motherboard components due to static
electricity, never place the motherboard directly on the carpet
during installation process
7. Wear a grounded wrist strap or touch a safety grounded object
before you handle components
8. Always hold the CPU by the edge
9. Always read the motherboard manual
10. Use high quality computer tools

Rules & Reminders

 Wear rubber-soled shoes


 No metal rings/jewelry
 Wear your ID
 No food or drinks allowed on computer table
 Always sign the attendance sheet
 Use the machines, tools, and equipment properly
 Observe cleanliness and proper waste management
 Always use the PPE (personal protective equipment) provided for the training
 Progress sheet will be signed after passing a listed Learning Objective
 Progress chart will be checked if a corresponding task is performed in the chart.
 After completing the checks for a CC (Core Competency – CSS has 4 CCs), a test will be taken to be able to
move forward to the next CC.
