Title: Nightmares of Loss

Level: Low Mid High Role-Play/Non-Combat
Hook: Job Board Standard Special
Detail Hook: (Job Board Note, name of NPC, or other details for hooking the Plot)
A man names Avery Adams, an alchemist from Back's Paddock's comes to town,
looking for assistance in finding his daughter. He is very carefule to reveal who took her.
As she was taken by men dressed as Mage Hunters from Devris. The issue being… his
daughter was not a mage. Her mother Elizabeth had been an apostate who was taken.
She had practiced in secret from their entire family. Avery knows for sure that Lily was
not a mage.

Primary Goal: To save Lily from the nightmare creatures that took her from her home.

Synopsis/Blurb: A creature from the depths of Nightmare known only as "The Enemy"
who takes pleasure in twisting the dreams of the innocent and feeds on the sorror of the
guilty has taken Lily as his newest plaything. Lily's greatest dream, of her mother
coming home after being taken by mage hunters was easily corrupted into her being
taken by make hunters as well.

Progression:

(Encounter(s) usually include mini goals, NPCs, monsters, etc… Don’t worry about providing
stats for the monsters, just what they are and roughly how many. The GM can provide stats
based upon the Level the Plot is designed for.
Location is the ideal OOG site where the encounter will take place. Examples include the Cave
Building, Basketball Court, Fire Pit, Altar Hill, Trail, Small Field Behind NPC Camp, etc…)

Encounter 1: Two "witch hunters" stand guard on the path to the altar. They are
creations of Lily's nightmares so they are twisted and nightmare aligned. They enjoy
causing pain and threaten any mages among the PCs.
Location: Base of the Altar Hill near the basketball court.

Encounter 2: As the PCs try to ascend the hill, waves of nightmare magic pour down.
Voice radius fear slicks, voice radius fear pins and similar effects wash over the area. The
narrator for the plot will lob packets down the hills of misc Lash Nightmare effects.
Location: The path up to the altar hill

Encounter 3: At the top of the hill, 6-12 "mage hunters" surround the altar, chanting in
unison. They are watching over as Lily screams for help while boud to the altar and a
dagger floating abover her slowly descends upon her.
Location: The Altar Hill

Reward/Treasure: (Suggestions are welcome on type of loot; Coin, Gems, Influence, Sticks,
Teaching, etc… Final quantities will be determined by the GM concurrent with the difficulty of the Plot.)
- Misc Sticks as remnants ritual components.

- Avery can teach up to Master Alchemy and Herbalism
- A few expert level potions.
