AFFIRMATION OF SECOND AMMENDMENT – KEEPING AND BEARING ARMS

A RESOLUTION AFFIRMING TRIGG COUNTY’S COMMITMENT TO UPHOLDING THE

RIGHTS GRANTED BY THE SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE CONSTITUTION OF THE
UNITED STATES

WHEREAS, the Constitution of the United States as the supreme law of our nation; and

WHEREAS, the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States states “A
well-regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to
keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”; and

WHEREAS, the Trigg County Fiscal Court wishes to express and resolve its affirmation of the
rights granted by the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE TRIGG COUNTY FISCAL COURT:

The Trigg County Fiscal Court is committed to upholding the rights granted by the
Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States, including but not limited to, the
lawful right of the citizens of Trigg County to keep and bear arms.
