THESIS STATEMENT

Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world, this statement
was said by Nelson Mandela, the first president democratically elected by South Africa’s. A
president is the responsible person for an entire nation, presidential elections are held every
certain period in some countries, and if a person is a candidate for president it’s important
that this candidate have a higher education. For a presidential candidate the higher education
plays an important role because it will have advantages such as knowledge self-management
and intercultural and plurinational abilities.

In the past, some presidential candidates were successful without education, but their success
was temporary. Today, choosing the right person for the presidency goes beyond their policy,
voters analyze certain qualities such as leadership, values, responsibility, and others. Some
candidates with a higher education have more than these qualities, because they have the
ability to self-learn and know more than others in a short time. For this reason, education in
a presidential candidate is very important because they can form a prosperous, united and
strong nation.

Sometimes an elected president without higher education finds difficult open the doors of
opportunities and international development for his country. A president could be represent
his states on the international arena and maintains its economic development; within the
preparation in the higher education gives you intercultural and plurinational abilities, for
example, in pre-professional practices and in community services. A person who acquires
higher education will have more skills, capable of multitasking and fulfilling work
requirements.

Finally, who is the ideal president, and what qualities should he possess? A president should
be have a great number of abilities and qualities which will help him rule his people
effectively. The leader should possess deep knowledge in the fields of economy, international
relations, business and management and use all this knowledge for the benefits of his nation.
