My Teaching Philosophy

I often thought that to be successful teachers, we must relate to our students and be
able to make connection with them in ever ways, emotionally and intellectually. It is my
inspiration to make sure that all students have the desire to learn and think critically and
academically about what’s around them. During my student teaching, I taught my students the
importance of literacy, thinking, as well as problem solving. I will foster an environment that
creates lifelong learners. I will make sure that my students grow every day in their ability to be
independent learners, problem solvers and great thinkers.
I understand that in teaching, it takes times and practice to accommodate individual
differences, diverse classroom demographic and different subject matter. Therefore, I am
committed to differentiating instruction to ensure all students get the opportunity to learn and
succeed in my classroom. During my student teaching, I have seen where students respond
differently to different technique. I will put my focus on adjusting my plans to make sure that
all students are being instructed at the appropriate level. I do believe that great teachers tailor
their approaches to account for as many differences as possible in order to facilitate an
effective leaning environment. That is exactly what I am willing to do in my classroom.
