Objectives:

1. To determine the individuals pace factor


2. To determine the length of JH Building by pacing
Instruments needed: Surveying rod, chalk, tape measure

Procedure:

Table 1, measure 90 meters from point A to B by walking or pacing. Record the number of paces
and do 5 trials, then compute. In table 2, measure the edge to edge of JH building and do it also with 5
trials, then compute.

Computation:

Average no. of paces=sum of the no. of paces/5


Pace factor= known distance/average no. of paces
Pace distance= average no. of paces ^ pace factor
