To program PLC in case of Position transmitter and Proportional Valve only

PLC input – 4~20mA from Position transmitter wrt to position.

PLC output – 4~20mA to Proportional Valve

(12~20mA to move cylinder in A direction with increase in speed from 12 to 20)
(12~4mA to move cylinder in B direction with increase in speed from 12 to 4)

In this case the speed can be varied for every cycle and direction has to be decided by PLC.

To program PLC in case of Position transmitter and Proportional Valve with Positioner

PLC input – 4~20mA from Positioner wrt to position.

PLC output - 4~20mA to Positioner wrt to Position

(4mA corresponds to 0% and 20mA corresponds to 100%)

In this case the speed is fixed and position can be varied, direction will be decided by Positioner.
