District of Manticao Cabalantian Elementary School S.Y. 2019-2020
JOINT BSP/GSP CAMPOREE NARRATIVE REPORT
Pursuant to Division Memorandum Nos. 56 S. 2006 AND 13 s. 2004 and
DepEd Order No. 86, S 2012 regarding the guidelines on Revitalizing Girl Scouting in schools nationwide, thus Manticao District held a three day Joint BSP and GSP Camporee on Sept 13-15, 2019 at Manticao Central School with the theme, “ Leading is Serving; Scouts in Nation-Building”. The activity aimed to support young people in their physical, mental and spiritual development that they may useful in their community in terms of emergency and natural calamities. Furthermore, it aimed to facilitate all boys and girls to have a better understanding of the true essence of becoming a boy and a girl scout and help them perform their responsibilities as challenges come along their way. At exactly 8:00 o’clock in the morning, a parade around the town was actively participated by the different schools in the District and Troop Leaders. Then it was graced by Hon. Antonio Baculio, the Municipal mayor who delivered an inspirational message. Mr. Gerry Fabria, the PS District Supervisor then stated the Declaration of the formal opening of said activity. The first part of the program was culminated with the raising of the school BSP/GSP banners by the different BSP and GSP Patrol leaders. The said activity was participated by about 1,000 campus from the 17 schools in the district. During the said camporee all girls and were equally divided by various activities both indoor and outdoor which challenges their skills and interest. The challenges which were designed by the troop leaders and staff have taught them to demonstrate teamwork, perseverance, leadership, discipline and resourcefulness. Highlights of the activity were the search for Mr. and Miss BSP/GSP 2019 and the Campfire where they’ve shown their talents and skills. The camporee was culminated by the Declaration of winners and awarding of pupils to the deserving patrols and contingents by the BSP and GSP Coordinators. Everybody went home happily with them are memories of fun and excitement. Indeed, the 3-day camporee was successfully done through the collaboration efforts and participation of the municipal officials, parents, administrators, troop leaders, scouters and staffs.
