The mountain world of the Allgaeuer Alps, Bregenzerwald, the Lechtal valley Alps and the Silvretta
mountain group is in the meanwhile a well coordinated grouped tourist area supplying multiple services
on a very high level for international tourists. The entry gate to that beautiful holiday area is usually,
when you come with your motorbike, form the northern countries like the UK, Scottland or Scandinavia,
the Autobahn highway via Stuttgart, Ulm and Kempten or via the Lake of Constance (Bodensee) through
the towns Lindau and Bregenz and the Bregenzerwald. This area provides several great multiple day
motorbike tours in the Bregenzerwald area and the Lechtaler mountain region.

We recommend to enter the region around Lake of Constance and use the Bregenzerwald as a base for
the trips. For commuting from the UK, Scottland or Scandinavia you may use the free of charge
services of the mototrrad ringhotels managed by Willi the host of the famous Berggasthaus Beverin.
This group of hostels and guesthouses offer overnights along the road from the German Eifel mountains
down to Black Forest. Typically you use the A7 from Wurzburg or Ulm and then exit to Bregenzerwald. The last piece from Ulm you should take the
Bundes- and Landstrasse (county roads) via Biberach, Bad Waldsee, Wangen, Lindau and Bregenz. The Oberschwaben region and the Allgaeu
region can be toured during nearly any season and are a dream for motorbike travellers. Endless twisting country roads lead you through meadows,
woods, fruit plantations and along nice small rivers down to Lindau.

The most southern day tour you may take based from Bregenzerwald ist the most popular SIlvretta Alpine road up the Bieler pass summit with the
Silvrettta storage lake. Even the shorter distance trips across the Lechtaler Alps like riding across the Namloserr Tal valley from Reutte over to the
Lech valley surprises with an outstanding landscape, excellent road grip and endless curves and you will find mostly other motorbike riders on that
roads, since the main traffic goes either via the Fernpass or the Brenner pass. That region offers multiple guesthouses, hotels and hostels that are
normally recommended through the German “Tourenfahrer” motorbike traveller magazin. We choose the guesthouse recommended below and use in
the meanwhile a motorbike trailor, which is a standard car trailer, where we have added four rails for motorbikes. We drive down to Gasthof
Alpenrose, drop the car and trailer, unload the bikes and go for two weeks on the road. The Gasthof Alpenrose is member of the Motorradringhotel
and they organize all overnights in the Dolomiti mountains, Switzerland or Savoy Alps free of charge.
