VIOLISTS/CELLISTS: please begin by playing a three octave C chromatic scale (from memory) 
 
BASSISTS: please begin by playing a 2 octave E chromatic scale (from memory) 
 
 
PART 2: 1 MAJOR & 1 MELODIC MINOR SCALES FROM MEMORY

BASSISTS: play one two-octave melodic minor scale randomly selected 
 
 
PART 3: ETUDE (DOES NOT NEED TO BE MEMORIZED)
