NIGERIA STOCK EXCHANGE MARKET WRAP UP FOR

WEEK ENDED 3 JANUARY 2019

Market was up for the week with the index gaining 0.04% for the week to close at 26968.79. A
good way to start the New Year.

Another positive for Nigeria is the increase in Brent crude price to $68+ as at close of activities
on Friday.

The earnings season here again. Our forecast gives you ideas of what the yet to be released 31
December results are likely to look like, just as if you have an insider information. We are show
the one for Access and Africa Prudential this week to the members of the public (the insiders,
our subscriber have had the results about 2 months into the past). Be a subscriber to our
reports and have a glimpse into results that have not yet been released to the public (this is
not the illegal insider information scenario please)?

MSCI rounded up activity for the week with net position on the sell side. Getting good data
converted to information is important, analyzing the weekly movement showed that Transcorp
got the brunt than other equities (like a case of the fund playing some tricks by 1st buying some
small quantities and then selling a big volume) the game seems to be in play again? Be careful
of Transcorp, the firm’s fundamental is still in question? Full movement in fund’s portfolio
shown below as usual in the report to subscribers. Can you blame the fund! No the public did
not employ them as advisers, that is why you need a report like ours!!!

Other summary are shown in the extract of the weekly report from the Nigeria Stock Exchange
website.
Our expectation for Monday/early next week is shown below. We may see a weak
retracement, but market not likely to fall substantially.
For next week from our quick review, our focus will be on (- - - - - - - - - - - - details for
subscribers only). On Monday we will update the stock watch list as necessary.
