The San Lorenzo Upatham School is the joined project of the Filipino Community in Nonthaburi

and the Thai – Catholic Devotees. It envisions to offer a quality education accessible to migrant
Filipino children, refugees and other marginalized children. It has an extended English
Proficiency Program for the Thai – professionals, students and adults in the community where
the school is situated. During semestral breaks, English Camp is conducting for exposing the
students in other forms of learning experience and environment. Year - end retreat is conducting
for the students and staffs spiritual renewal. For the teachers’ professional growth, the school
provides a teacher training and workshop during the summer break.
It is hard for the school to resolve its problem financially because of lack of support coming from
the Filipino Community due to their inability to pay. The second reason is only few students
coming to the school because we limit only our clients to the children of the OFW and refugees.
So resulting in low cash flow but bigger in cash out. At present, the school changes its policy in
admitting students in the school to compensate the losses incurred in the last few years.
