SPES Rewrite

In Night By Elie Wiesel The Jews had to conform to survival just to survive the Nazis

Concentration camps. Here is a quote from the text of Night “The idea of appeasing his thirst by

eating the snow.” This quote is important for multiple reasons, one of which being Once he

started eating the snow the other people got the same idea and started eating the snow. Reason,

two being if they didn't start eating snow they probably would of died. My second quote comes

from Night “I slapped my dad as hard as I could then he slowly started blinking.” I use this quote

for two reasons; reason one being before the quote Elie Wiesel the one who slaps his dad saw

people getting up and new if his dad didn't confirm and get up he would die. Also secondly if

Elie didn't slap his father he would have been taken away by the Nazis and killed. So overall I

can pretty confidently say that conformity had a pretty big impact on the survival of the jews

during WW2. (Note: I cannot provide a page number for my quotes because I do not own the

book “Night”)
