marketing and sales strategy, operations and technology, ZS has leveraged their deep industry
expertise and leading-edge analytics to create solutions that work in the real world,has a strong
appeal for me.
I was working as an IT Consultant in the Application & Digital Services Domain of Zensar
Technologies. Here, I learnt how global teams collaborate in order to ensure the best and the
most optimum solutions for the clients. Here I learnt how IT is critical in providing the
foundations of the omni channel business in online, order management and supply chain and it
is also vital in how we provide a great omni-channel experience for our customers and support
our Partners in serving our customers. I was responsible for working closely with Partners and
stakeholders based in London, United Kingdom to understand their requirements and
collaborate with cross functional teams to design new processes and re-engineered the existing
process if possible, in order to provide smooth operation of the business.
Throughout my life, I took part in various extracurricular activities which helped me in developing
good team dynamics and communication skills. I was also appointed in many leadership roles
during which I took several initiatives and sharpened my skills as an effective leader which is
much required in the prestigious firm as yours. For instance, I led the College Cricket team that
secured 1st Position at the University level in the Inter-College Cricket tournament. Also, within
a year at Zensar Technologies., I got the opportunity of leading a team of 4 members and to
trained them efficiently, making sure that all service level agreement (SLA’s) are met.
The field of consulting interests me because of the variety of work which it involves. My previous
role as an IT consultant allowed me to interact with key John Lewis Partnership’s stakeholders
and clients to optimally elicit the requirements in order to deliver the optimum custom-designed
solutions & I strongly believe that consulting is a discipline that will force me to view problems
not only from the client’s standpoint but also from a marketplace, best practices and “think out of
the box” point of views. It doesn’t let work get monotonous and you get to face new challenges
every now and then. This not only helps a person to grow but develop skills in various fields with
intensive domain experiences and this variety is essential to find my field of interest. Working at
a consultancy will help me understand various industries and the major challenges for each
of them. And personally, I think this will be the best field to start with.
