Midterm Reflection

Overall, I am quite happy with the outcome of the midterm assessment. I feel that I made

the most out of the materials given to me and then I was able to meet a few of my goals as well.

It was not perfect, however, and there are many things that could be analyzed and improved

upon... one of the many good things about said midterm.

One of the things I am most satisfied with is the creation and attention to the detail of my lines. I

feel that as an overall mover, the lines I created throughout the class set me apart. This also falls

in line with one of the goals I’ve had during my high school dance career, to improve my lines.

To see the work pay-off is quite lovely and motivating. I also think that my kinesthetic

awareness has improved during the semester. I am more of my body, how it works, and in what

way it moves. I am able to focus greatly on my technique in classes which allows me to improve

in the semester contemporary course.

Well I can focus on my technique I need to work on focusing in general. My friends tend to

distract me. I also wish that I had a better grasp on the combinations. While I know the steps and

timing, I want the movement to feel better in my body. In order to accomplish this, I can focus

more in class and practice combinations on the side and outside of school hours.
