DOH Secretary Duque extends public smoking ban

Due to the various health concerns, Eric Duque, the country’s DOH secretary confirms
that all forms of vaping are banned on public places.

This rule is an extension of the Executive Order that Duterte signed on May 7, 2019 that
banned all smoking of tobacco cigarettes on public places.

“Using vapes and e-cigarettes will also be banned where smoking is already prohibited”,
Duque said.

Francisco Duque signed the Administrative Order that expanded the ban saying that
manufacturers and transfer in any way shape or form of electronic nicotine and nicotine
delivery system must first secure a license to operate from Food and Drug Administration.

Any products that have to do with smoking should contain various health warnings.

This rule shall also affect nicotine shots and concentrates.

This rule will only take place after publication on two newspapers.
