Here are the schematic, layout and PCB files of my "AUTOMATIC MANAGEMENT OF CAR

BATTERY CHARGING PROCESS" . Layout is given as "components side view" and PCB (pdf
file) is given as "copper side view". Real dimensions of the board are given along
sides.

To adjust this controler, connect stabilized and precise variable PSU on BATTERY
contacts (no, it is not mistake! exactly on BATTERY contacts). For this adjustment
DO NOT connect Charger or Battery on this board!!! Just variable PSU on contacts
where you will later connect BATTERY.

-Set your PSU to have exactly 13,85V and measure voltage between ground and pin 8
of TCA965. Voltage should be about 4,4V.
-Adjust with 10k multiturn trimer "A" to have exactly the same voltage on pin 6 as
it is on pin 8. -Now, set your PSU to produce 12,5V and again measure voltage on
pin 8. Now it should be about 4V.
-Adjust with 10k multiturn trimer "B" to have exactly the same voltage on pin 7 as
it is on pin 8.

When you now set output voltage of your variable PSU slightly above 13,85V the
GREEN LED should light on and relay click OFF. When you set voltage of PSU under
12,5V relay should turn ON as well as the RED LED to indicate that charging is in
progress.

If everything is as I said, unit is working properly and you can finaly connect
everything as it is given on layout drawing. Be carefull to NEVER connect Battery
reversely because this unit don't have protection!!!!!!!! It will burn instantly!
