Paysense is a Naspers, Nexus and Jungle funded start-up focussed on consumer lending.

We are group of passionate entrepreneurs, designers, product managers and engineers

from Google, FB, Amazon, Paypal, Housing, Mckensie who have come together to make
credit accessible to Indian consumers. Our approach is to use the latest in tech and data
science to make a better credit decision, going where the banks and NBFCs are just not
able to serve. We are developing the next generation of innovative lending products that
allow consumers to seamlessly pay for a cup of chai to purchasing a home all with the
utmost ease and transparency.

As a Android Developer, you will be part of our team located in Mumbai. With a strong
customer focus and excellent interpersonal skills, you will work in a team of developers and
product management. You design on the basis of design guidelines and standards
architecture. You will drive innovation, to help consumers access credit for just about
anything and just about anywhere (read: from the local Kirana store, to FK/AMZN, to getting
a cash loan with a click of a button). You will work on high performance APIs to enable our
partners to do more with credit seamlessly offered in their experiences. You align on the
best approach to fix bugs and you ensure that the software is ready for testing in a user
acceptance test environment.

Responsibilities:

• Designing software according to the requirements and specifications of our

various stakeholders.
• Develop software including unit test for the new feature additions
• Adherence to coding guidelines and standard software development principles
• Contribute to product enhancements by bringing in new ideas
• For Senior profiles: Technical guidance, code reviews and team competency building

Key Qualifications and skills:

• 3-5 years experience as a developer with deep and thorough knowledge on software
development
• 2+ years of experience in Android app development
• Expertise in writing unit test cases
• Must have at least one app in Google Playstore where the candidate was involved
from start
• Should have worked with Android studio and REST APIs.
• Understanding of Java design patterns
• Ability to design for scalability and resilience
• Strong focus on refactoring and code quality
• Good software engineering literacy and communication skills
• Know-how of object-oriented programming concepts
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git
• Familiarity with JIRA is an added advantage
• Being able to work and contribute fast paced environment
• Excellent team player with good social and communicative skills
• Excellent problem solving / troubleshooting skills
• Flexible and committed to work. No 9-5 mentality and prepared to go the extra mile
when needed
• Experience and knowledge of SDLC.
