Gray-Scale Transfer Function Table

This table is calculated using a Gamma Correction Factor of 1.80

It corrects the gray-scale compression for a typical monitor.
Use it to improve color accuracy and photographic gray-scales.
To learn more about this, see Chapter 8 of the Manual or the
"Gray-Scale Linearity" topic in Windows Help for DisplayMate.

The table values are not accurate for your particular monitor.
Use the "Color Explore and Match" screen to accurately calibrate
the Gray-Scale Transfer Function values for your own monitor.
Press the "Overlay" button until "Gray-Scale Overlay" appears.

To use the Transfer Function Table to correct the Gray-Scale:

1. Load it into the video board or applications software, or...
2. Make a list of the RGB intensity "In" values that you need.
3. Replace each intensity "In" value by the "Out" column value.
4. Use the corrected "Out" values in place of the "In" values.

Should you accidentally overwrite this file, a backup copy is

available as "gray_doc.bck" in the DisplayMate directory.
