HOLY PERSON IN HINDUISM

The Holy person of revelation (wahyu) in Hinduism is called Rsi. Rsi has holiness and deep

received by Rsi were collected into Vedic scriptures.
There are seven people receiving holy word from God, so they are called Sapta Rsi. The
word Sapta comes from the Sanskrit language which means seven. Therefore, Sapta Rsi
means seven Rsi recipients of holy word from God.
The Seven Rsi recipients of the holy word from god are also called Maharsi.
The seven names of Maha Rsi are:

2. Maharsi Wiswamitra
3. Maharsi Wamadewa
