Let 𝑥 = 58 for 2018

Let 𝑥 = 59 for 2019
Let 𝑥 = 60 for 2020

Equation:
𝒇(𝒙) = 𝟏𝟐𝟔𝟗𝟕𝟕𝒆𝟎.𝟎𝟐𝟎𝟐𝒙
Solution:
If 𝒙 = 𝟓𝟖
𝑓(58) = 126977𝑒 0.0202(58)
= 409,774.07
=409,774 is the estimated population size for Iligan city in the year 2018
If 𝒙 = 𝟓𝟗
𝑓(59) = 126977𝑒 0.0202(59)
=418,135.97
= 418,136 is the estimated population size for Iligan city in the year 2019
If 𝒙 = 𝟔𝟎
𝑓(60) = 126977𝑒 0.0202(60)
=426,667.90
= 426,668 will be the estimated population size for Iligan city in the year 2020
Reflection of each member:
Zhoey Reyes
As the population increases every year, the economy of Iligan city in demand will increase because there are
more people to feed, more people to shelter and to accommodate. With that the supply will decrease and in
the long run will endanger the economy, that is unless the population will decrease, I think that the population
will always change, whether increasing or decreasing. But if it does decrease, it will be because of an
epidemic or any natural disaster that will occur which will tamper with the population. I think that it is important
to know what the standing is in population and be aware of what’s happening in our community. With the
knowledge that I have acquired, I will use this in spreading the word to people and make simple slogans or
campaigns online/social media to aware the people of the situation and band them in to what is happening
and hope to create a big change in the future.
