Complementary: 5.3.1 Respond imaginatively and intelligibly through creating simple
short chants or raps (Other imaginative responses as appropriate)
LEARNING OBJECTIVES : By the end of the lesson:
MAIN: Most of the pupils will be able to describe the countries in the textbook.
COMPLIMENTARY: Some of the pupils will be able to sing the song entitled “Friends
from Around the World”.

ii. LESSON DEVELOPMENT : 1. Pupils look at the pictures of the flags in textbook.
2. Pupils identify the countries based on the flags.
3. Pupils talk about their experience travelling to any country in the list.
4. Pupils read the lyrics of the song.
5. Pupils explain their understanding of the lyrics.
6. Pupils listen to the song.
7. Pupils sing the song in groups.
8. Pupils present the song at the front.
