2 Productive use of energy involves using energy to improve productivity, and to realise social impacts. The impacts include poverty
reduction, improvement of livelihoods and human health, women and youth empowerment and enhanced education. Access to reliable
and affordable energy services enables entrepreneurs to generate local jobs, income and promote local development. An example is
solar water pumping for improving agricultural yields.

NOTE: Be aware the there are several funding grants from different sources available for RE projects espec
ially for energy access. Take some time to design your projects and proposal according to the requirements
of targeted grants. This will improve your chances in getting financing.
