team Multidisciplinary team effort is an essentially in the field
concept of psychiatric. It is multidisciplinary in the sense that from

art therapy, etc. is required. This multidisciplinary team
concept is a hallmark of the field of mental health.
This multi-disciplinary team can also
function as an inter-disciplinary team in that, the total
care of the patients requires not only the total input of
each member of this team but also the inter-disciplinary
coordinated effort. One can compare this concept to an
orchestra led by the music director. Each member of the
orchestra has to give his input and simultaneously there
should be co-ordination with others members is directed
by the music director, so that is the final effect is splendid.
Similarly, multidisciplinary input and inter-disciplinary co-
ordination is directed by the patient and his illness will
lead to the splendid outcome of recovery of the patients
to his maximums capability and capacity in the
community.
