MGCU's students had been agitating since 3rd June 2018 against University Administration on their several demands. A meeting held between university administration and student representatives on 21st & 22nd July 2018 which was chaired by Vice- Chancellor (Arvind Agarwal) for the discussion over students' demands. Rohit Mishra (Supreme Student Leader) represented the students at the meeting where various demands of students were discussed and Vice-Chancellor agreed to comply with the demands as early as possible. MGCU administration held a joint press conference on 23 August 2018.Vice-Chancellor (Arvind Agarwal) and Rohit Mishra (Supreme student leader) addressed the press conference regarding the meeting. Rohit called off protest after this meeting.
