TEACHING & LEARNING ACTIVITIES

PRE-LESSON: (10 minutes)


1. Teacher shows some social networking sites logos in front of the class.
2. Teacher asks pupils to write their favourite social networking sites on a mini whiteboard individually.
3. Teacher calls a few pupils to share about their own social networking sites in about a minute. (Lollipop sticks)

LESSON DEVELOPMENT: (40 minutes)


1. Pupils are assigned into 4 groups with an extract each; Extract A, B, C and D.
2. Pupils read the extract silently in group.
3. Each members were given a minute to share their opinions about the extract; either advantages or disadvantages.
(Talking Time)
4. Each group send a representative to share their findings on the extract given in front (Hot Seat). Others may ask any
questions regarding to the extract.
5. Pupils match the right person with the opinions mentioned in Task D.
6. Teacher checks pupils’ answers as a whole. (Traffic Lights).
7. Pupils express their opinions by answering 3 questions in Task E on a mini whiteboard individually.
8. Pupils put up their mini whiteboard and Teacher select to read a few opinions to the class.

POST-LESSON: (10 minutes)


1. In pairs, pupils discuss at least one new word/phrase that they have learnt today. (Self/Peer Assessment)

2. Teacher collect responses from pupils. (Lollipop sticks)
