LRIT TERMINAL AND CONFORMANCE TEST REPORT: GUIDANCE TO MASTERS.
Enclosed is a Conformance Test Report (CTR) for a specific terminal on board your
vessel. The purpose of this LRIT terminal is to provide position reports to the Flag
State of the vessel as required by the IMO Long Range Identification and Tracking
(LRIT) regulations ~ SOLAS ChV/19-1 and associated performance standards
Please check that the information on this CTR is correct. If any of this information is
incorrect or is no longer valid, you need to have a new CTR issued. To inform us of
the changes you require, please ask your shore office to send formal letter of
change in pdf format. A template of the letter can be obtained by emailing us at
Iritcert@polestarglobal.com. When contacting us, please let us know what vessel
of equipment details require alteration.
Its @ requirement that your vessel keeps this certificate on board and available for
inspection.
The LRIT regulation requires no action or intervention on behalf of the Master other
than ensuring the equipment remains powered up and logged in at all times; or as
otherwise guided by your company or Flag State.
