Layout Overview
The beginning web comic panel jumps right into
Illiria’s story.
There are two monologues taking place side-by-side:
an entry from her journal titled “Goodnight Khurnn”
and another her inner crazy voice.

The poem font: Chiller in RGB: 213, 114, 33

Inner voice font: Arial Narrow in RGB: 162, 172, 176
For storyboard purposes only, the poem text boxes
are in purple, and the inner monologue is in light
blue.
The bookends are both OVAL shapes which are tied
together by RECTANAGLES in the middle. The ovals
overlap the rectangles.
Except where otherwise noted, the background is a
black with a subtle dark red haze over it.
Left Oval – Panel 1
The poem text should be in a rectangular box which extends out to the left
past the oval border.
Poem text (verbatim, case and order) on one line in a rectangular box:
twinkle, twinkle, little Khurnn

Inner voice text (verbatim, case and order) just below the poem text box with 1
the right edges being flush :
I
was
beautiful
once…

This panel is a close-up of Illiria’s face and she is very happy. Her hair is
blowing back as if in a gentle breeze and she looks satisfied with her life.
Left Oval – Panel 2
The inner voice text should extend above and to the right past the oval border.
The Poem text should nestle the right edge of the oval.
Poem text (verbatim, case and order) rectangular box, one line, at the bottom
2
of the oval:

how I’ll love to watch you burn

Inner voice text (verbatim, case and order) on the top of the oval. The word
“everyone” is in italics:

desired
by everyone

This panel is pulling out from Illiria’s face from the Panel 1, however her
expression has changed from happy to expressionless. There is a fine red
misty haze in the background.
Left Oval – Panel 3
The inner voice text should overlap panel’s 3 and 4.
The Poem text should nestle the top left edge of the oval.
Poem text (verbatim, case and order) rectangular box, one line:

your skin is melting off your face

Inner voice text (verbatim, case and order) 2 rectangular boxes overlapping
between panel’s 3 and 4. The words “Not” and “grotesque” are in italics.

Not some grotesque monster,

hungry for blood 3

This panel is pulling out from Illiria’s face from the Panel 2 even further,
however her expression has changed from expressionless to visibly upset. We
can now see the top of her torso and shoulders, her hair now has some of the
red mist on it. There is a fine red misty haze in the background still.
Left Oval – Panel 4
The inner voice text should nestle up to the top right oval border.
The Poem text should extend into Panel 6.
Poem text (verbatim, case and order) rectangular box, one line:

torn by your beloved mace

Inner voice text (verbatim, case and order) 3 rectangular boxes tucked into the
top right corner of the panel. The word “me” is in italics.
Look what you made

me

into…
4
This panel is pulling out from panel 3 even further and now we can see all of
her torso and the top of her spider connection point. Her spider butt can be
seen a bit blurry behind her. The red mist has become more concentrated,
darker.
Her expression is one of anger. We can see her arm blades as well.
Center Rectangle– Panel 5
The inner voice text should all be inside the panel up against the right oval. 5
The Poem text top left center of the panel.
Poem text (verbatim, case and order) rectangular box, one line:

sizzle softly tiny fly

Inner voice text (verbatim, case and order) 5 rectangular boxes near the lower
right hand corner of the panel. The words “you” and “me” are in italics.
Look at what This panel is a close up of the bloodied face of
you someone she is thrusting her arm blade at. There are
scars and blood on his face. The blood is from fighting
make her, the scars from past battles. This is a simple foot
soldier, he is not anyone special.
me Her blade is piercing his shield.
do NOTE: Don’t forget this is a sci-fi game, the shield is
“powered” as are her blades.
Don’t be too graphic with the gore, but do give it some
edge. The shield has the “Symbol of the Pure” on it.
Center Rectangle– Panel 6
The inner voice text should all be inside the panel up against the left oval.
The Poem text at the lower right corner of the panel, extends into panel 7.
Poem text (verbatim, case and order) rectangular box, one line:

soon I’ll watch you slowly die

Inner voice text (verbatim, case and order) 4 rectangular boxes The words
“feel” and “hungry” are in italics.
I still feel…

beautiful

desired 6
hungry

This panel should be a close up on a hand grasping, some blood

splattering. The background is the black and dark red haze.
The arm is extending up and to the left, starting from the bottom
right corner of panel 6 (not currently shown).
Right Oval – Panel 7
The inner voice text should be an extra large font size and extend beyond the
border of the top of the oval.
The Poem text at the bottom center of the oval.
Poem text (verbatim, case and order) rectangular box, one line, all in italics:

Goodnight, Khurnn
7
Inner voice text (verbatim, case and order) 1 rectangular box.
I still feel my legs

This is the end panel for this sequence. The camera is now pulled all
the way out to see Illiria standing on a pile of bodies; her arms raised
to the sky, blood splattering and misting off her blades, her head
titled back as she is screaming in rage.
All of the bodies are wearing robes or armor of The Pure.
We can now see her full spider body.
If at all possible I’d like the blood to sparkle though animation, and
have her spider body blue energy lines pulsing blue as well (I
incorrectly drew them red in this panel). Goodnight, Khurnn
