I started working as a private practitioner in my law office in Cauayan City, Isabela few days after

being admitted to the Philippines Bar last June 2018. I am also the current legal counsel of Alpha

Insurance & Surety Company, Inc Region 2. As a legal counsel of the said bonding company, I

am responsible for drafting court pleadings, notarizing policies and other legal documents,

assisting the company in acquiring their Certifi. of Accreditation and Authority from the Supreme

Court. I also appear before Courts on behalf of the bonding company, if necessary.

For more than a year as a private practioner, I have handled a number of cases of different sort but

mostly, criminal cases and I must admit that during my practice, no matter how hard and

complicated it is, I have learned how to love litigation. but not in its entirety. To be honest, I was

never fully trained to litigate and I was afraid at first because this practice area is new to me. But

when I started to appreciate this litigative experience when I found myself helping my neighbors

or those the people in need which is very noble.

Strengths and Weaknesses.

Strenghts. My emotional intelligence is my strength. Based on my self assessment, I am

accurately aware of my emotions that I am able to understand and manage it really well as to

produce desired results. I have better emotional coping skills, more attuned to truth.

Weaknesses. My greatest weakness is my inability to share responsibilities. I don’t trust others

with tasks I know I can do better. However, I am doing my best to improve this aspect by

starting to share some responsibilities and tasks to my secretary. Now im learning to let go and

trust others.

Why COC?

Working for the government gives some people a sense of pride that money cannot buy, and it also is generally a

more stable job than that of an associate at a law firm.
