Kinetics and in partnership with the Organization of Junior Physical Educator

organized an individual play event that unleashed and unravel the participants'
inner Apolaki spirit, The Apolaki Race!

The Apolaki Race was held on October 4, 2019, which start-off on the
University’s Oval where the registration starts at 7:00 am and finally the race at
9:00 am. The Apolaki Race is consist of 10 obstacle course (most of it is located
on the University’s Oval and one on the University’s Swimming Pool near
Tahanan ng Alumni) and a 3 km run.

We could feel the vigor on the participants' faces as they perform and pass all
the obstacles. The Apolaki Race was named after by Apolaki, the God of the Sun
and War. Besides being the Sun God and the God of War, Apolaki was also the
patron of warriors and fighters, the mandirigma. For modern practitioners of
Anito, he is the patron God for modern-day warriors and fighters.

All of the participants received a free Apolaki shirt. The overall winners
received a medal and a token for their great performance and great effort. For
both male and female categories, the one who would place third would receive a
sports headband and a medal, the second one a sports cup and medal and the one
who would grab the first spot will take home a new shoes and a gold medal.

For the male category, the 2nd placer and 3rd placer showed such a close and
intense fight as they both finish within 9 mins with only 5-second difference. The
5-second difference really mattered as Amor Vimcent Vista finishes within 9
mins 41 seconds that placed him on the second spot followed by Charlie Mingoy
with 9 mins 46 seconds. Not too far from the records of the two aforementioned
holds, is the Overall Champion of the Apolaki Race, Jerome Liporada who
finishes the race within 9 mins 38 seconds which is only 3-seconds faster as
compared to Amor.

As for the female category, the 3rd Placer, Ma’am Faye finishes at 14 mins 2

competitive spirit as they race for the crown. With only 1-second, Femia Theresa
