Banjarnegara - Residents of Kemokon Hamlet, Jalatunda Village, Mandiraja District,

Banjarnegara, are holding a Tenongan Party today. The Suran tradition is held on this
Friday Kliwon in Sura to beg for safety and rain soon.

Under the hot sun, residents bring tenong containing rice, srundeng, jengkol, and
mutton to each T-junction or intersection. The party was held at eight points, both fork
and intersection in the village.

"There are 500 tenong brought by residents at eight intersection points or intersections,"
said community leaders in Jalatunda Village, Satam, after the tenong party, Friday
(9/27/2019).

MY OPINION
In my IPonion in Indonesia there are many regions and it makes a lot of different customs and
cultures in each of these regions. One of them is Jatulanda, they have their own way to call rain.
That is the culture they do in their area, and is characteristic of their area.
