Huge cultural change: In the past, their leadership program has been all about leadership skills, communication
skills. They scrapped all of that and their leadership program now is all about hackathons.
They take every one of their senior leaders for a one- or two-week hackathon. They mix traditional senior bankers
with a bunch of 20-year-old coders and see what happens.

Change of thinking to critical thinking:


On day 1 or 2, there are two camps, the bankers and coders, neither really sure of what to think of each other. By
the end of the week, there’s such passion and intensity about what they are creating that there is a very magical
spark changes people’s thinking in the organization to critical thinking and out of the box thinking.

Identify and act on opportunities quickly:


They sought to foster a cultural exchange between the employees and startups and created a “sandbox” for their
people to experiment like startups.

Embraced a digital mindset among employees.
