This research is a conversation analysis study which focuses on the analysis of repair as
reflected in the conversation. The conversation between foreign and local people about
destination. The objectives of the study are : (1) to investigate the type of repair, and (2) to
identify the pattern of repair employed by the participants in the conversation between foreign
and local people about destination.

Conversation is one of the most principal uses of language in human life there are
various definitions regarding the notion of conversation composed by linguists.

Turn taking is a term for the manner in which orderlyconversation normally takes place.
Turn taking in an exchange in conversation is very important.

Conversation Analysis research is assumed to be included in typically linguistic disciplines such

as pragmatics, discourse analysis, or sociolinguistic.

talking about beautiful places to visited in his country such as gili trawangan, kuta beach, and
Candi Borobudur.
