ABSTRACT
The high number of consumptive people in the use of plastic has become one of the factors that
caused the recent flooding around the Cikarang area. In reducing plastic usage, there has been
a trend that called anti-plastic straw movement. The purpose of this study is to determine the
effectiveness of the anti-plastic straw movement trend in Innovation and Technology
Management subject perspective. This study uses a quantitative method using questionnaires
that aim to gather results from how enthusiastic this trend is among students at President
University. The results showed that the success of this movement was evidenced by the
significant reduction in the use of plastic straws among the public, especially students of the
president university. this success was also influenced by several food restaurants that no longer
provide plastic straws for the community. As time goes on, the anti-plastic straw movement
continues to expand and create awareness for almost every society and individual.
