Scrap Knight

You are a sworn member of The Knights of the Castoff Pauldron. Your order venerates a patron saint of
battle, chivalry, thriftiness, armor, and oaths. The tradition of your order, following the footsteps of their
patron saint, is for a knight to build themselves armor from the fallen and then swear themselves to
serve a liege worth following or a cause worth fighting for. This oath may be temporary and ends upon
completion of a specific quest or may be for life (if a lordless scrapknight has their life saved by another,
they may pledge their sword to them if it seems appropriate to the knight).

Skills & Knowledge: Knights of the Castoff Pauldron are a highly formalized knightly order with a focus
on gentmanliness. They are adept at sifting through scrap and rubbish in search of useful materials. They
understand smithing techniques used to craft armor from the scrap they’ve collected. They are also
trained combatants, able to effectively wield heavier weapons and shields. For these reasons, scrap
knights add their proficiency bonus to these skills: Etiquette, Search, Strong Weapons, Shields, and
Armor Smithing.

Special Abilities
A scrap knight has a custom-built suit of armor crafted from remnants of armor scavenged from an old
battlefield. It has these base stats: 2 AC, very heavy, loud, bulky. If it is ever lost or destroyed, he can
rebuild a set of scrap armor with a day of work (or as a downtime action) given smith tools, a place to
work, and some sort of metal to use as scrap to rebuild from. The armor is clearly made of scrap and
looks somewhat ungainly. You ignore the bulky tag on it and other armors.

When a scrap knight charges headlong into battle for your liege or for your cause, describe your grand
attack and add your proficiency bonus to your attack roll and damage.

A scrap knight gains +4 to max HP.

Lightweight Articulations: At level x, the scrap knight replaces some of the heaviest pieces of the scrap
armor with lighter, more flexible ones. It’s no longer very heavy; just heavy now.

Durable Plating: At level x, the scrap armor is enhanced with durable iron plating; increase the AC to 3.

Strong Back: Increase your maximum encumbrance by +4.

Scrap Steed: You can call on a loyal steed (usually a horse but also could be a donkey, mule, or other
more exotic creature like a racing snail). It functions as a basic mount but with 2 AC from the scrapmail
you’ve fashioned for it.

Champion: When you attack with a melee weapon, increase the die type by one step (for example, from
d8 to d10, or from d10 to d12).

Magical Reinforcement: Replaces Reinforced Stripping. Increase the AC of your scrapmail from 3 to 4.
Witness of Ouroboros
The Temple of the Great Sky Serpent has been your home since you were a young child. You do not
recollect your family; your only memories have been as monk serving at the temple and studying the
ways of time and timekeeping. Having ascended to the rank of Witness, you are now set loose on the
world to record all of the events that you witness in your Chronicular Journal. One day, when you submit
a great tome of recorded happenings and their timestamps to the Sexadesimal Council, you may earn
the coveted title of Grand Scrivener of the Timestream.

Skills: A witness starts with these skills: Decipher, Ouroboros Lore, Historical Lore, Language, and Nimble
Weapons.

Special Abilities: Start with the Channel Ouroboros special ability. With each additional level earned,
select another special ability from the list.

Channel Ouroboros (Starting Special): You hold an idol of the god Ouroboros, a silver anklet in the form
of a snake eating its own tail (it is permanently attached to you). Gain favor with your god when you
spend an hour recording events, tracking and recording the movement of the stars, or caring for
reptilian creatures. Spend a favor point to cast a spell from this list:

 Scout Mamba: You conjure a small but quick snake. When you close your eyes, you can see what it
can see and it slithers rapidly, silently about at your command. It is able to bite and poison smaller
enemies but is vulnerable to harm.
 Cure Poison: You immediately relieve any poisons from P creatures you can touch (including self).
 Chronostatic Cell: A creature or object is frozen in time and space within and invulnerable crystal orb
for P minutes.
 Prismatic Recording: You capture a sphere of audiovisual recording inside of a prism. The sphere is
10’xP in diameter and the length of the record is up to 1xP minutes long. Anyone who touches the
prism can see the recording continuously playing back in an endless loop. The prism will project an
image onto a surface if light is shone through the prism.

Xiphos Blade: The Great Sky Serpent does not let its loyal followers go without adequate protection
from the dangers of the world it encircles. You attract a venomous cobra as a familiar. It is a typical
snake, loyal to you alone, and defensive of those who come too close to you. However, with the spoken
command word, the snake forms into a sabre that is effectively coated in venom. The snake may hold
this weaponized form for up to an hour per day (not necessarily contiguous). If lost or destroyed/killed,
it takes a week (or downtime action) to attract a new snake.

Serpentis: You can polymorph into a giant snake, maintaining your general size except for your arms
which meld to your sides and your legs which form into a long serpentine tail. While in this form: your
clothing and gear fall off and your skin turns to scales (natural 2AC); your bite does d8 damage and
poisons the victim; you add your proficiency bonus to rolls to hide, move silently, and pass through
small/narrow passageways; you are able to swim at sprinting speed. You can maintain this form up for
to an hour per level per day.

Intuitive Sense: You gain an uncanny ability to sense when someone is being untruthful.
Ageless Stasis: You stop aging. Further, you no longer need to eat (no need for rations when resting) or
sleep (you are always awake when resting).

Alchemic Dabbler: The first ability from the alchemy class plus the ability to continue with alchemist
special abilities as class-abilities.
Acrobat
They would all cheer for you, swinging and balancing and leaping from so high up. The thrill of the
performance, you were the star. Why you left all that behind is a tale for a few trusted souls and no one
else. For now, adventuring is a lucrative job that puts to use your unique talents.

Skills: Jump, Balance, Climb, Tumble, Vault, and Perform.

Starting Special: Start with the Catlike special ability.

Catlike: If you fall and something nearby could possibly break your fall, it does. If there is nothing to
break your fall, you take ½ damage from falling.
