During the second world war USA, Britain and the Soviet Union created a temporal Alliance
againts their common enemy Hittler.

These tree countries tried to seems doing a real Alliance but the truth was different, these
countries had been enemies for a long time before this temporal Alliance. The USSR had been
a communist country for almost 30 years in that time and USA and Britain hated and feared
this Communist Ideas, also Britain and USA helped once communist enemies making USSR
mistrust this Alliance.

The clash of ideologies

USA:

 Capitalist, all business were property privately.,


 It was a democracy, free elections.
 It was the worlds healthiest country.
 Free of control of the goverment.
 “We’re doing the rigth thing” – Americans.

USSR:

 Communist, all industry was owned by the state.


 One party dictatorship – Not democraticy ( Only communist party)
 Helth very low.
 “USA Actions are selfish”. – USSR guy.

USSR and USA was fighting for the #1 biggest power in the world.

The Yalta Conference

During Febrary 1945 it was clear to the allies that Germany already losed the European war, so
they decided to meet at Yalta were they were going to do the Yalta conference were they were
going to discuss about what to do with Germany which went very well.

They agreed in almost everything.

Agreements:

 Onces Germany surrender, Stalin Will enter to war with Japan.


 Countries that were libarated from Germany could hold free elections.
 To punish any war criminal.
 Germany was going to be devided in four zones (French, USSR, Britan & USA)
 New United nations was created to aim for peace after the war.
 Soviet sphere of influence could be done.
Disagree:

 Germany wanted to move its border over to Poland making Poland’s border extend
into West Germany. Churchill and Roosevelt didn’t like this at all but they got
convinced when USSR promised not to invade Greece.
