Tower of God is a webtoon written and drawn by Lee Jong-hwi (Korean: 이종휘), also known by the pen-
name SIU (Slave. In. Utero).[1] It was started in 2010 as the first story in the "Talse Uzer" universe. It is
edited by and released for free on Naver Webtoon. It has been translated into Japanese and English by
Naver, and to many other languages by way of fan translations. Line Webtoon began an official
translation in 2014 (four years after the series began) and terminated all fan translations. The fan
translations had different transliterations of the names of the characters, such as Zahard (fan translation)
being transliterated to Jahad (Line Webtoon), for example, or Ship Leesoo (fan translation) being
transliterated to Shibisu on Line Webtoon. Another example is Hwa Ryun (fan translation) being
translated to Hwaryun on Line Webtoon. In the end, they are all the same people and the story is the
same for the fan and Line Webtoon translations.
